Q: What are some tune-ups I can do with basic tools at home on a 2006 Hyundai Tiburon GS?
I'm 17 years old and I want to be a future Automotive Technician. Well I think a couple of some what easy tune-ups for my car could be a good start. So does anyone know of ANYTHING I can do to my car? Without spending a lot of money or preferably no money at all?

A: its hard with out money as tune up general include new parts, start out with plugs, air filter, fluids stuff like that. I am 18 and use to fix my own BMW and I started doing simple stuff and worked my way up. It hard not to spend money on tune ups, but you will save by doing proper maintenance and such on it. You will save gas, and possible mechanical failures.

Q: i have a 2006 hyundai tiburon gt and im wanting to know what the best aftermarket exhaust to buy for it?
ive heard that borla's are pretty good and ive looked at obx and dc sports but not sure what to go with.

A: Well, if you're like me, you want a nice deep/low/tough sounding exhaust. But, you also want to gain Horsepower. I'm thinking about exhaust systems for my 2003 Tiburon GT, and i really like the OBX and the Borla. If you have the money, go with the Borla and you won't be disappointed.

Q: 2006 Hyundai Tiburon air went out??
I have a 2006 Hyundai Tiburon, nothing has ever been wrong with it. I was driving and stopped at a stop sign and for a split second I smelt a burnt plastic smell, then it went away and my air went to vent, the air still isn't working. Does anyone know what it might be?

A: Might be the a/c compressor or a relay as they both get hot and have plastic components that would have a bad odor when melted. If you are under 60,000 miles, I would suggest taking it in to your Hyundai dealer as it should be covered under the 5 year/ 60K warranty (even if you are not the original owner).

Q: Diagnose clunking problem 2006 Hyundai Tiburon?
Bought my 06 auto Tiburon GT brand new on 07/2006. A year later, the car would jerk while accelerating around the 40 mph mark. Took to Hyundai, dealt with them and all their service issues. No codes came up on their computer and there were no dummy lights showing, but the tech diagnosed it as a faulty transmission after he drove it. Hyundai replaced the vehicle with a new trans at 32000 miles in 09/2007. Yesterday, at 39000 miles, I was driving about 80mph and let off the gas. The RPM's spiked and made a reving noise and then the car would jerk once violently on the downshift (happened numerous times during that trip). Later in the day, it did it only a couple of times, but once so hard it knocked the gear to neutral on the hwy. Took it to Hyundai and they could find no codes and no techs could replicate the problem. Told me just to bring it back immediately if I experience it again. (That's real safe!?) Pretty sure it's the trans. Anyone else have any experience in this???? To clarify one question, it is an automatic, not a manual. Secondly, this started happening after the car was sufficiently warmed up. It doesn't seem to happen when it is on cruise control and it only really seems to happen at higher speeds. Then again, this just began yesterday, so I cannot offer great detail on the pattern of it. The safety issue is key to me because having the gears switch to neutral at highway speeds after the car jerks so violently is a great way to get rear ended/die at 70/80mph. I contacted Hyundai cooperate and spoke with customer service. Supposedly thay are "sending the info to higher personnel", so we will see what that accomplishes. And yes, sometimes I stomp on it, but heck, mph show up to 160mph... what's 80? PS. Anyone looking to buy a Hyundai w/"America's Best Warranty", recognize that they don't give you a loaner when they are fixing those probs, even when it's still under warranty. Spend a bit more and get a Honda or Toyota.

A: It sounds like your hydralic slave cylinder .If you drive it radically all the time it may not be engaging or disengaging at times.don't be so hard on it.Remember its still just a hyundai.

A: Read over the service bulletin titles on your vehicle below and see if there's been a problem with the transmission. Get a copy of the service bulletins if there has been. http://www.edmunds.com/maintenance/MaintenanceServlet http://www.mycarstats.com http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/tsb/tsbsearch.cfm

Q: Where is this fuse located for a 2006 Hyundai Tiburon?
On my 2006 Tiburon, I have a problem. It's the front left turn signal. It isn't working, and neither is the driving light. The entire Right side is working just fine though. I've been looking at the fuse panel relay box diagram under the hood (and in the vehicle) as it shows in the manual, and it says nothing about the turn signals. Can anyone tell me where I can find another diagram online that shows where it would be so I can replace it? Or do you know what the abbreviation would be in the manual for it??? PLEASE HELP. This is a problem for me. Thank you

A: well if one light works but the other dont then the fuse is ok so check the bulbs anyway most of the time fuse box is left side above your foot or under the hood

Q: what kind of CD (or DVD deck) will fit a 2006 Hyundai Tiburon?
i need a deck that's not too expensive but will play burned CD's and DVD's with ONLY songs on them. Because i found out that DVD's hold 50 somewhat songs more than a regular CD. what kind and where can i buy one? thanks for the help!!!

A: you don't need one that plays DVDs, a regular CD-r can hold up to 12 CD'S (depending on the quality) in MP3 or WMA format so look for a CD player that plays CD-Rs (CD-RWs also, can be recorded on over and over), MP3s and WMAs for the radio to play them you need to burn your music into one of those formats (MP3 or WMA) everyone of these radios fit and can play MP3s http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Group/ProductMenu.aspx?g=300&tp=5684&nvpair=AG_Disc_Playback%7cYCMP3_Playback here is a link to radios that fit that play DVDs http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Group/ProductMenu.aspx?g=168550

Q: Should I Get a 2006 Hyundai Tiburon or a 2007 Scion tC?

A: If I were you I would go with the tiburon. I did some car comparison in JD power and the result shows that overall quality is a bit better for Hyundai. However, it really depends on which car you prefer. A car with good looks and plenty of accessories? then probably Scion would be the answer for you. A mechanically reliable one? Hyundai.
