Q: I have some rims from a 2004 hyundai tiburon and need to know what other cars they will fit on?
They are a 5 lug, and are 17's. I just bought some rims and im looking to sell these, so what is a good asking price for them?
A: Check below for pricing. The sites will give you a good idea. A quad of cheap 15 inch car rims for your tib will be around $200. Try craigslist as well in your area.
Good luck
Q: Blue light near meter in Hyundai Tiburon 2004?
I recently bought a used Hyundai Tiburon 2004 2dr Sports. It is working quit well but since morning it shows blue light near meter and blue light is like a D shape or something with some wave on its left. Does anybody knows what this blue light trying to tell me?
A: It's used, so whoever owned it before put a custom blue LED light behind the display. It was red like the rest of the car's lighting, but they just put a different color LED light bulb in it. That "D" tells you when you are in Drive, When you go into Reverse it turns into a "R"...
I was actually thinking of doing that myself, it gives it a more custom look.
Q: I have a 2004 hyundai tiburon gt v6, and it only has the exhaust on it, can i put a blow off valve on it?
A: No to put a blow off valve you need a Turbo.
a Blow off valve is a vacuum-actuated valve designed to release pressure in the intake system of a turbocharged car when the throttle is lifted or closed. This air pressure is re-circulated back into the non-pressurized end of the intake (before the turbo) but after the mass airflow sensor.
if you want the sound of a turbocharged car, you can look up fake systems like this
http://www.turbowhistler.net/blow-off-valve/index.htm
it doesn't do anything for your ca performance wise though.
Q: i have a 2004 hyundai tiburon gt v6, and im curious why do they call cars like mine tuscani?
A: Tuscani is a name used for that car in some markets around the world. Google "Hyundai Tuscani", you'll see why.
Q: Has anyone ever gotten the code P0174 on a Hyundai Tiburon 2004 GTV6 or anything close to that year?
I got the code P0174 and P0171 and the dealership said it was my MAF - Mass Air Flow Sensor and it was because the cord was strained causing electrical problems to it. They said replace the maff and shorten the RAM so theres no strain. So i replaced it and cut off 2 inches so no strain now. Now a year later the code came up again... just P0174 for now... i'm hoping P0171 won't come up. I have an aftermarket Cold Air intake and i saw that another hyundai tiburon owner (2003 GTV6) had the same code with his and couldn't find the problem. Is it possible the malfunction is being caused due to the Aftermarket Intake?
A: You have a lean reading on bank 2, the driver's side.
Could be an exhaust leak before the front O2 sensor, an intake mani gasket leak on that cylinder bank, some vacuum hose leak only leading into that cylinder bank.
Since this only affects one cylinder, I doubt the intake has anything to do with this.
My brother had an 03 Tiburon. Google search for a Hyundai Tiburon forum and ask for further guidance there...he found one himself for the last few years, so can you.
Q: Hyundai Tiburon Speedometer Problem?
I just got my 2004 Hyundai Tiburon today from a Hyundai used car dealership. The speedometer will sow the correct speed then just drop to zero rondomly for a random amount of time then go back to normal with no apparent changes in driving style. Any input on this would be very helpful. Thank you.
A: I spoke to our Hyundai mechanic and he told me your problem could be with the speed sensor. If you still have under 60K miles, it should also be covered under the warranty, as long as no modifications have been done to the car. Make sure you get you Tib registered with Hyundai (www.HyundaiUSA.com). Then take your car to the dealership to get it fixed.
Q: Hyundai Tiburon vs. Volkswagen Rabbit?
I own a 2004 Hyundai Tiburon and i highly dislike it considering the gas prices right now. What are benefits of a Volkswagen Rabbit?
A: I actually work at a dealership that sells new VW's and new Hyundai's. I feel I can answer this question fairly well for you.
Rabbit - The rabbit has a 2.5 liter 5 cylinder which is a great engine. Its not rated to get 60 miles to the gallon, it's about half that, but it's still a great car. I own a 2006 GTI and love it. The only difference is the Rabbit is more affordable and saves you on insurance. The VW carries a 4/50,000 bumper to bumper and a 5/60,000 on the powertrain.
Tiburon - If you look at a v6 Tiburon's 0-60 and a Hyundai Sonata's 0-60, the Sonata spanks it. The Tiburon is a dog with a lot of bark, but not enough bite. It's a great looking car and has the USA's best warrantee. It will have a smaller interior because the Korean's built it after a F-16 fighter jet as a tribute to America. Tiburon actually means "shark."
Anyways, you'll be happy with whatever you choose, you just need to decide what your needs and wants are. If you have any more questions, please feel free to email me and ask any questions you might have.
Thanks.
Q: Which vehicle would you rather drive a 2003 hyundai tiburon, or a 2004 mazda tribute suv 4x4?
A: The mazda tribute is way better, The hyundai tiburon is weak and slow! I suggest you wait for the new CX7 suv to come out. It's coming out in 2007. It has a turbocharger direct injection engine! Very fast and powerfull. Hyundai is crap!
Q: Does anybody have a Hyundai Tiburon Clutch problem? How did you fix it?
I have a 2004 Hyundai Tiburon GT with a 6 speed manual trans. At 27000 miles the factory clutch went. The service department at Fayetville NC Hyundai told me "thats seems to be pritty commen around 30000 miles." & "it's (the clutch) concidderd a fare ware item and not covered under warrienty" The estimate was $1900 to fix.
I put in a high performance clutch and pressure plate at a local trans shop for $1400. Now the clutch is gone agian at 31000 miles (4000 on new clutch).
I am a tractor trailer owner and get 750,000 miles on my big truck clutches so I know it's not me with bad clutching habits.
A: The performance shop may not have put the right tension on the pressure plate that you got installed. My suggestion, take it backt o the shop and ask them to check that out for you. :)
...OR, the new 6 speeds could possibly be like the subaru wrx in that it doesn't take to after market parts to well. You may be better off sticking to factory parts. Any Hyndai dealership should be able to tell you about that one. :) Hope this helps!
Q: Repainting Tiburon Fender?
I'm repainting the fender of my 2004 Hyundai Tiburon. I purchased a spare part that is already painted. Do I need to remove the existing paint on the fender or can I just put primer over it and then paint?
A: Scuff sand it, degrease, prime and paint...you may have to blend the fresh paint into the hood and door to get a good color match too.
Q: How much does it usually cost to install headers in a car?
I own a 2004 Hyundai Tiburon and i want to install headers, how much does it usually cost to be installed?
A: If you do it yourself- The cost of the Headers and about 3 hours
If you pay a shop- The cost of the Headers and the cost of labor for 3 hours. labor is usually between 60 & $100+ an hour.
so ill guess that your headers cost roughly $350 and labor about $80 an hour.
Labor
80*3=240
cost
$350
240(L) + 350(C) =
$590+tax good luck
Q: what's the headroom on Hyundai Tiburon like?
im 6'2" and wanted to get a 2004-2005 Tiburon, will i fit? lol
A: i'm 5'10" and i fit comfortably in mine. But, you should find one and try sitting in it first.
I will tell you that the headroom in the back is barely enough for me, so nobody over 6' is supposed to sit in the back. Your head will hit the back window.
