Q: How much would it cost for a replacement side view mirror of a 2009 hyundai sonata?
The glass on the mirror is cracked and the plastic back part of the mirror has a hole in it.
A: Well, You didn't explain if it's the complete side mirror, or just the mirror (moon). If is thc complete mirror with support or base. It will cost You over 300.00 just Labor on the dealer. Because they have to disasemble all the interior cover door, to remove the mirror support. If the problem is just the moon. it will cost you almost or probably over 100.00 dlls. But that is really easy, just need some pressure. and andjust the moon.
good luck!
Q: Does the TPMS light on 2009 Hyundai Sonata reset itself once air is back in the tires?
I hit something on the road today-oops! And about 20 miles later the TPMS light came on. I pulled over and my boyfriend checked the tire pressure and the driver side rear tire was low. He put air in it but the light is still on. Does this reset itself? If yes, how long does it take? Or does the dealer need to reset it?
A: Mine reset itself as soon as I put the correct air pressure in the tires. Check all the tires as one or more of the others may need air.
Q: What type of oil and oil filter for a 2009 Hyundai Sonata 4cyl 2.4?
I have been trying to find it but I can't find it and I even called the dealer and the guy didn't know and he told me I would have to do the service with them to find out. I was also wondering Regular or Synthetic?
A: Synthetic engine oil outlast the mineral-based engine oil, but cost much more
The easiest way to find out is to let the dealer do the first servicing. Monitor what they use for engine oil oil, filter. Next time you know what to do
Q: 2009 Hyundai Sonata windows and key
Do the rear windows in the new Sonata go down all the way like they do in the Camry? Also, is the remote (fob) integrated into the key like the Camry and Accord?
A: I have a 09 Sonata. The back windows do go down all the way. The remote is a fob, not part of the key. I love my Sonata.
Q: how do i take the door off of a 2009 hyundai sonata without breaking it? (I dropped my debit card in there...)?
A: You probably don't have to take the door off of the car. You can probably reach the debit card by removing the plastic paneling on the interior side of the door. I don't have an exact procedure for taking the paneling off, as every car is different. Generally, the paneling is held on by screws or plastic buttons that run along the bottom and side edges of the door, although more screws may be located near the handle.
After removing all screws, lift the panel up while twisting or wiggling it from side to side. The panel has hook-shaped clips on its backside that attach to the door. If you don't lift and loosen up the panel, pulling directly outward on it will break the clips.
Q: I can't make the IPOD work in my 2009 Hyundai Sonata!?
I have a 2009 Hyndai Sonata and when I plug my ipod (4 GB) in to the USB port, the stereo screen says there are no files found? I've tried a million different things such as switching out the USB cord, and playing with the stereo buttons but I can't seem to find anything that works.
The screen will say that it found the USB and attempt to load it but no files are found??
Anyone out there have any ideas on how to fix this problem??
Thanks.
A: Try to connect it in the auxiliary input jack.

handling is not agile.
take a look at the Kia Optima & Rondo.
much better vehicles.
Q: What are the best snow tire (and rims package) for my 2009 Hyundai Sonata?
Right now I have Hancock tires ( 215/55-17 ) that are absolutly horrible in the snow in upstate NY, so I was looking to purchase rims and tires for the winter. I looked at TIRERACK.COM and was looking to go down to smaller rims (215/60-16) which is suggested. But they suggest the goodyear eagle ultra grip GW3 which is a "performance snow tire". I am close to buying this but was wondering if anybody had any other suggestions on a BETTER tire maybe that would fit my vehicle and give me better performance in these harsh winters? Or another website that offers different tires and rims? Thanks!
A: Go to the same site and check the winterforce tires. I live near you and bought a set for my wife's car 2 years ago and they are very good. If you look at the Goodyear's the tread is not really very good(actually very poor) in snow but more of a touring high performance tire. The winterforce is a directional tread design with stepped groves that ensure there is all ways a nice edge on the blocks. Not only is it better, its less money.
I would stay away from the blizzaks unless you are driving mostly on ice. They do better on ice but not as good on snow and they wear out fast.
Also the winterforce is manufactured for snow with deeper tread than the other tires.
Q: can a hyundai Sonata 2009 beat a 2002 audi a4 1.8L turbo?
A: I have a 2009 Sonata with the 260 hp motor in mine. There is no way an Audi A4 would even consider racing my car. In about 3 seconds from the start the A4 would see nothing but tail lights. Plus above all of this, the Sonata is much better built vehicle and has a better warrantee. Also, you can be sure your Sonata will start in cold weather. That A4 will give you starting problems below 35 degrees F.
Q: When will you be able to buy 2009 cars?
Specifically, I am more interested in purchasing the 2009 Hyundai Sonata because it is redesigned, and looks more luxurious at a reasonable price tag. When will I be able to buy the 2009 Sonata? Thanks for responding!
A: The 2009 Sonata is done. In fact, they will be arriving in the next few weeks. The changes are awesome. The only reason that you can't get them now is that there is still a good inventory 2008's still on the ground. The rebate went up to $2,000.00 on the remaining 2008's just last Wednesday.
I would guess that they will start arriving to the east coast dealerships by the 2ND week of March.
Q: How do I reset the Low Tire Pressure light?
I have a 2009 Hyundai Sonata and the Low Tire Pressure light is on even though I checked and all the tires are fine. I cannot find a way to reset it.
A: Is it the 'TPMS' light or the 'exclamation point' light. There are two different reasons. If the TPMS light is on, there is something wrong with the sensor. Your dealer must hook it up to a computer to find out the problem.
If it is the exclamation point, there isn't enough air in the tire.
If you have less than 12,000 miles, any 'adjustment' is covered under warranty (including alignment not affected by hitting something). If it is the sensor, it will be covered under your 5yr/ 60k warranty.
The light should go off almost immediately if the proper pressure is in the tire. Take it to your dealer and have them investigate the problem. They will reprogram the sensor if it needs to be reset or replace it if it is defective. There isn't a manual way for you to do it if the light doesn't go off.
Q: How are Hyundai?
my family is getting a 2009 Hyundai gls sonata and i was just wondering how good of a car they really are, im just wondering because its final and the cars coming tomorrow
so how good are these cars really?
A: I think the 09 Sonata is one of the best values on the road. With today's gas prices a 4 cyl Sonata Limited is great. Many luxury touches but with the economy of a 4 cyl engine.
Hyundai's of today are near the quality of Japanese cars.
Q: Is it worth it to buy a new car now or are there better more gas efficient cars coming in 2010?
I am thinking about buying a 2009 hyundai sonata which gets around 32 mpg on the highway but I was wondering if they are going to have more affordable gas efficient cars in the next few years. What are your thoughts on buying a new car now or later?
A: Stuff that's more efficient than what you're considering:
1) Prius or other hybrid sedan, available now
2) VW Jetta or Rabbit TDI, coming out in about a month. I think the Jetta is supposed to get somewhere in the 40s. I drive a 1999 Jetta TDI myself, and get about 47mpg on the highway even with my lead foot. It's not hard to find diesel. It's not dirty like it was in the 70s.
3) Chevy Volt coming out in the next few years
4) Toyota planning to make a plug-in Prius soon, so the first 40 miles after a charge can be all-electric
5) Tesla Whitestar and Bluestar are all-electric, coming out in the next few years according to rumor
6) Think Ox (Think is a Norweigan car company, Ox is a model name) scheduled to be available in the US in 2012. It's another all-electric but can go up to about 85mph and something like 150 miles on a charge, so much better than current electric cars
7) Smart cars are available in the US now, and get pretty good mileage. I think more than 32 but not quite sure.
Personally I'm trying to keep my 10-year-old Jetta running until the Thinks come out here in the US. Fixing stuff when it breaks is certainly cheaper than making a car payment...on the other hand it's annoying and I'd like a car that "just works". So I'm thinking about test-driving one of the new TDIs this week and then getting on the waiting list.
Q: Trading in a new car.....what kind of value should I expect?
I just bought a new 2009 Hyundai Sonata and I'm unhappy because I kind of traded down from my old car to save gas mileage. Now I want to trade in my new car for another new car, this time "Limited Edition". I want the same Make and Model but the dealer is giving me a really crappy trade in price. How much of the original value should I expect to get back? Should I wait a year and trade then?
A: the simple answer is the money your looking to save on fuel will not cover the loss on trading your car again.
the average loss on new price to trade in expect to loss 20% of new price.
