A: ebay.com which side? left or right? look here there was a few: http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=m38.l1313&_nkw=hyundai+sonata+tail+light+lens&_sacat=See-All-Categories right: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/02-03-04-05-Hyundai-Sonata-tail-light-lamp-rear-lens-RH_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a1205Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318Q7c301Q3a1Q7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem310113557984QQitemZ310113557984QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories left: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/02-03-04-05-Hyundai-Sonata-tail-light-lamp-rear-lens-LH_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a1205Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318Q7c301Q3a1Q7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem290289006141QQitemZ290289006141QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

Q: 2005 hyundai sonata gear problem?
have a 2005 hyundai sonata, automatic transmission, 6 cylinder, 2.7L (maybe 2.6 sorry). for some reason, even when i maintain a constant speed of 60 for example, the gears in the car switch between 4th, 3rd, 2nd and even first, making the car incredibly uncomfortable... anyone care to explain???

A: If I understand what you are describing, you are driving at 60 mph and the car suddenly downshifts to 3rd, 2nd and sometimes 1st? There must be a check engine light on if this is happening. I can see a downshift or maybe the torque converter goes into and out of lock-up, if the throttle position sensor was goofing up, but to downshift like that sounds like internal problems in the transmission. Have the trans controller and the engine scanned for codes, will definitely tell you which direction to look.

Q: Hyundai Sonata - How do I reset the engine immobilizer?
I used a key instead of the wireless remote to unlock my car this morning. This caused the engine immobilizer to kick in, thus my car will not start. I've tried locking and unlocking the car with the keyless entry, with the key, various combinations, but I can not get it to reset. Anybody know the secret to fixing this? Its a 2005. Thanks!!

A: yeah turn the key in the ignition from off to start and back again 5 times

A: I'm not familiar with a Hyundai really but unlocking with the Key instead of remote should not affect the Immobi, I've heard of alarm issues because of doing that, but not immobilizer. You may very well have an issue with your immobilizer but it's not due to your unlocking. You'll need to go to a dealer for diagnosis. You could try a battery disconnect and retry or if you have a second key try using it

Q: How often should I change my transmission fluid?
I drive a 2005 Hyundai Sonata and I'm coming up on 30,000 miles.

A: The first transmission oil change should be done at 60,000miles as per Hyundai Sonata Owner's Manual. Thereafter it should be performed at 15,000mile intervals. However, I recommend just checking the color of the transmission fluid. The transmission oil dipstick has a red handle and should be on your right when you open the hood. Clean fluid is red whereas dirty fluid is dark brown or black. If your fluid is the latter I recommend doing a transmission flush. Prices range anywhere from $70.00 to $90.00 at most shops.

Q: Choose One --> 05' Dodge Ram or 05' Hyundai Sonate?
Okay...I currently own a silver 2005 Hyundai Sonata limited edition fully loaded. My mom owns a tan 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Single cab truck (base model...no power windows or locks). My mom wants to trade me automobiles because she wants a car now to car-pool to work with her co-workers. I love the way my sonata drives but dont really care for the outside body of the car. With my moms truck its the opposite. I love the way the truck looks but hate the way it drives! Its a big truck and a rough ride especially compared to my small car. We both owe the same amount on our automobiles and both cars have about the same mileage (30,000). Which one would you choose? I can’t decide.

A: The choice is based on what what do you do with your ride? Do you ever need to haul bikes or jet ski's? Do you mind the truck will get lower gas mileage? Do you ever need room for more than two passengers? I can tell you that at the end of five years the truck will be worth more than the Hyundai. However trucks were made to haul things and never to provide great creature comforts. No one else can make up your mind for you, but at least analyze what i have given you and make an informed choice.

Q: Car buying question...PT Cruiser or Sonata?
I'm making the decision in buying a used car. Fuel economy is not a factor so please don't preach about that. The options are a 2005 Hyundai Sonata for $11,995 with roughly 11,000 miles and a 2007 PT Cruiser for $9,995 with roughly 32,000 miles. They are both well equipped and have warranties left (the Cruiser has 4,000 miles left on the warranty and the Sonata 50,000 miles and 2 years). I will be using the car for driving to my job which isn't too far, and other miscellaneous things. Which car seems more practical and reliable? Please answer, especially if you have a lot of knowledge involving these two cars. Thanks!

A: sonata because it has better warranty and the appearance is better the performacne is not bad either

Q: Hyundai Sonata 2001/2002 Faclift Tracking?
Not an expert so may be asking about the wrong thing. One my Sonata I want my tracking done as the wheel is off centre. I have taken it to have it done but it came out of the garage worse (more steer to the right when going straight). At the garage the mechanic looked at some numbers on a chart (assume that they are geometry settings) but on the chart it said Sonata 1985 onwards which worried me as surely these numbers would be different on a car which is 16 years newer? What I am asking is what are the geometry settings (or those numbers on the chart) for the Mark 4 Sonata (2001-2005 facelift model) when you have a wheel alignment done. Thanks

A: The settings for Camber Caster and toe may be the same on all those models leading up to your year. The place you got it aligned at must be idiots. i could have straightened your steering wheel with you car on an alignment rack with out ever hooking up the machine. Provided that the alignment was on the money but the steering wheel was really off center. the steering wheel being off is due to the fact that they Didn't get the steering wheel straight before the started the alignment. Or the steering wheel was moved during the alignment process. If everything but the steering wheel being off was correct all they had to do was loosen the tierods And turn the tierods in equal amounts in the same direction a few turns till the wheels were straight and so was the steering wheel. granted it would be easier hooked up to the machine with someone competent doing the adjustment. Where ever you got the alignment should warranty their work and fix your problem for free!!! Don't let them tell you something else is wrong and you need to buy a new component either. Someone just screwed up. that's all. It's a simple toe adjustment to both wheels to line up the steering wheel.

Q: I want to lock the keys in my car with the engine running, I cant use the FOB, or hit the door locks. Ideas?
Its a 2005 Hyundai Sonata.

A: On my 2000 GMC Sierra, when the engine is running and I want to lock it, I hit the lock button to lock all the doors, but the driver's door I have to lock by hand.

Q: what should i do about blind spots in cars?
its starting to become a problem in my new/used 2005 hyundai sonata. i look over my shoulder and i swear there is no car there and all of a sudden i see a car after trying to switch lanes. i probably look like a foriegn driver. what are things i can do to reduce my blindspots? my old 1994 pontiac grand am didnt have any blindspots

A: two easy things buy one of these very long rear view mirrors it fits right over your regular one. some race cars have three foot long ones that bolt to the roof. you should have your side mirrors adjusted so that you don't see the side of your car in them. the easiest way to do this is at a stop light when you have cars on both sides of you. look in your rear view mirror then keep moving the side mirror out until you can see the car 2 cars behind you. then do the same thing on the other side. you can't reduce them but you can be aware of them and try not to change lanes so often :) you shouldn't need to see the side of your car in your mirrors. they should be pointed out more.

Q: Should I get a used Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, or Hyundai Sonata?
I went to three used dealerships today and got the lowest price the dealer would give me on the ones I liked. They all have clean Carfax reports. I have a 1995 Toyota Camry with 212k miles on it that needs replacing. I told them my budget was $14 thousand max but the Honda guy didn't really listen. The prices are without tax/title. 1. 2006 Honda Accord- 22k miles - $14,670 2. 2005 Toyota Camry - 48,000 miles - $13,990 3. 2006 Hyundai Sonata - 34,000 miles - $13,688 They are all fairly basic models with cd player, power windows and locks, and AC and other normal things. The Sonata is a V6 but the others are 4 cylinders. I plan to have the car till 200,000 miles again. I'm looking for the car that will last the longest at the best price. Thanks in advance for your input.

A: Tell that honda dealer again when you test drive the Camry to his dealership that you are serious about buying a car. That will get his attention and maybe get you a better deal. Good luck!!!

Q: Factory radio/speakers go into Buzzing Mode 50% of time?
I have 2005 Hyundai Sonata with a factory stereo and at times my speakers are making a horrible buzzing sound. The stereo works fine 50% of the time. But the other 50% the speakers go into buzzing mode. Is my stereo fried or is it a wiring problem to my speakers. I called Hyundai and they said my warranty doesn’t cover this. I was hoping for some insight before I put a lot of money in to this.

A: it could be a number of things, but to start i would get a simple line filter and have it installed, the problem causing the buzz will not be solved, but like the buz will go away... the filter instals on the power wire to the radio. if that does not solve the issue, then you need to have someone re-run all teh speaker wires, because they are picking up interferance (very rare), and if it comes to this use a twisted speaker wire, it repels interferance much better.

Q: My car rental was a Dodge Neon 2005 and I fell inlove with it. If I buy one used, it'll be a good car?
THanks for your other answer dodgeman if you're here now. I just read what what you wrote for someone else asking about the Neon, cool. I'm interested only in 2005 and thereafter, I'm also considering the Hyundai sonata 2006 or after. PS: that's so ironic that the Hyundai is Korean, I generally love their products and the people, I don't have any experience w/ their cars, but maybe that did do some exceptional improvements on thier new ones. I see people are writing their old ones are not liked.

A: The 2005 Neon is an excellent choice of car for the money. Consumer Reports rates the Dodge Neon 2003-2005 as a recommended buy. The 2006 Sonata is in a different category and is better compared to a Camry or Accord, along with that comparison comes a higher price. The Sonata is also a recommended buy. So if you have it narrowed down to 2 choices, the Neon and Sonata and Price is not an issue then I would choose the Sonata but if I wanted to save $3,000 to $5,000 bux then I would choose the Neon. I hope that this helps. Adub.
