Q: I have a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe, when accelerating very rapidly into 4th gear, the there is a bump, not a?
smooth shift. It only happens when you step on it and try to accelerate quickly. I had it to the dealer and explained it to them and they gave it a transmission service. They told me on the computer that nothing showed up that would bring up red flags. I think I am being jerked around.

A: How many miles do you have on this car? If it's under 60,000 miles ANYTHING done to fix this problem should be under your bumper to bumper warranty. Actually if it's a transmission problem (and you're the original owner) it should be part of the 10 year/100,000 mile warranty. Go to a dealer ( I recommend another Hyundai dealer if this one jerked you around) have a technician go for a ride with you so you can duplicate the noise. If they are a pain about it threaten to call Hyundai and the district rep, if they don't budge call Hyundai. Explain to Hyundai you are very unhappy and they will take care of it. Hyundai is very strict on their Customer Satisfaction. I hope that helps!

Q: I have a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.0 L diesel anyone know where the engine pre heat glow plugs are? Thanks?

A: In the cylinder head where the spark plugs should have been if it has any at all. If you mix a little gas with the diesel it should not need glow plugs. VW recommends 50/50 gas/diesel in cold winters so I think you should be able to use a little safely.,

Q: hyundai santa fe diesel 2005 where are the engine heater plugs for cold starting?

A: Check out the manual.

Q: Whats the best crossover/suv to buy?
I am either looking into buying a 2005 chevy equinox, hyundai santa fe, or other suv/crossover. any suggestions?

A: I'd go with the Santa Fe, Hyundai is more reliable then Chevy. You may also consider leasing the new Mercury Mountaineer hybrid if gas mileage is a concern. Another nice crossover is the Mazda CX-7, though its turbo engine requires 91 octane.

Q: Help! Carfax Screwed me!?
Ok I bought a 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe in February 2005. I bought it from a dealership used with 55,000miles. I pulled the carfax report and it was clean...no accidents or anything. Well I have been trying to sell it and have had a few people e-mail me asking for the VIN to get a carfax and then I never hear back from them. Well somebody recently told me that the car was reported in an accident in 2003 and had pillar damage! It says right on it that Carfax did not report it until May 2005 (3 months after a bought it)!! So now I am driving my child around in a car that could be potentially unsafe...NOBODY will buy it because it has pillar damage...even most dealerships dont want it as a trade in! There HAS to be something I can do!! Please Help!

A: You should see if Car-max will buy it from you or try selling it on ebay. If the Santa Fe was repaired and you can't even see the old damage, then I'm sure its just as safe as it was prior to the damage. The pillar just holds the roof on, unless you are planning to roll the truck over it should never even factor into the safety. Carfax is a joke though, my old car was in several accidents that were repaired through insurance...the carfax report showed nothing, I highly doubt you have more recourse then simply getting your $35 fee back. Carfax doesn't guarantee their reports as fact or covering anything. If you have a clean (non-salvage, non-rebuilt) title you shouldn't be getting so much harassment. Like I said, put it on ebay, people sell totaled cars that are undrivable on ebay all the time.

Q: Is Camry or Corolla a better choice?
I had a 1992 Corolla before owning my sh*tty 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe that I have now and it was great on gas mileage and pretty roomy for an older car. I am trading in and want another Corolla (newer of course) or a Camry. I can't afford brand new, maybe a 2003-2005 and was wondering what is better on gas mileage and better space? I have 2 kids (3 yrs and the other 10 months) so there will be a car seat and booster seat in the back. Also a double stroller needs to fit in the trunk. I dont care about cuteness I just want to know the better gas mileage, safest and roomiest. Thank you!!

A: well since u got a big family i would get the camry. its just as safe and reliable as a corolla. no it wont give u the same gas mileage but im sure if u get a 4 cylinder camry the gas mileage will be pretty good

Q: I want in car entertainment for Hyundai Santa Fe 2005?
Prefer 2 din options

A: go to circuit city.
