A: Change the fuel filter and run a bottle of Sea Foam fuel system treatment through a tank of gas or two. That should straighten it out.
Q: I need instructions on how to replace the tailight on my 2002 Santa Fe Hyundai?
A: Look in the manual. Most likely, it's just a few phillips-head screws inside the trunk holding the entire housing.
Q: Are there any service manuals out there for the 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.7L V6?
I need help replacing the oxygen sensor, bank 1 sensor 1 and just want to make sure I'm doing it right before I begin. I replaced a downtstream sensor on Dodge I used to have, but I just got this car and I want to make sure it's as easy as that was before I tear something out of the car! thanks
A: cheap way go to http://www.autozone.com and check under the repair section
Q: 2002 Hyundai Santa fe diagnostic code p1154 what do it mean?
A: P1154 is a code for Oxygen sensor slow transition Bank 2/Sensor 1. This means the O2 sensor on the Rt side (rear if you have the 2.7 engine, and the sensor that is between the engine and the catalytic converter) is not switching fast enough from lean to rich readings. This is monitored by the ECM and turned the Check Engine light on. Replace the O2 sensor, that should fix that problem.
Q: 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe & 2002 Jeep Liberty? HELP!!!?
I am torn between two SUVs to purchase. They are both priced almost similiarly, and options and reviews are excellent. Gas mileage, everything. Did a 3 full work day research on both. lol. I just don't know which to go for. Maybe you guys have driven either one or both. Please share your experience and which one I should get.
A: InterestingQuestion i being an avid jeep owner for many years tried a sante fe about a year ago, outside the fact it looked like a pregnant VW Bug i was not that impressed with the vehicle, gas mileage was average power was poor, and the over all interior desighn was not that good for driver conv. Needless to say i kept the thing for about 6 months then traded it back for a grand cherokee, i do not paticularly like the liberty but i can say that the cherokee, and the grand cherokee are verry good vehicles, as far as the ride, jeeps do ride a little rougher than most other SUV's thats because Jeeps have a heavy duty suspension under them, that comes stock, It may ride a little rough but after a few years of driving expecially with todays road conditions being so bad you will be glad you had it while others are replacing springs, shocks, control arms, idler arms etc you will still be going strong, also when people research cars they are buying the tend to forget to look up the maintenance cost comparrison. :The Usual cost of average parts the consumer will have to replace " The Sante Fe has a 32% higher Maint cost Over the Jeep as well as average life span of the vehicle,, The Santefe' 138,000 miles The Jeep Cherokee 242,000 miles that is the average mileage before major mechanical issues are expected, also jeeps hold there re-sale value longer than the sante fe . other words if you buy a brand new sante fe today the second it pulls off the lot it depreciates by 13.6% a Jeep Depriciates 7.8% well i hope this helps you...Good Luck
Q: on a 2002 hyundai santa fe is there a on off switch for the 4 wheel drive if so can you tell me where it is?
A: No switch....it's like a Subaru, always in 4WD. I know cause I have one, same year, 79,000 miles still running like new.
Q: how to bleed brakes on a 2002 hyundai santa fe without a scan tool.?
A: Ok for those of you who don't know why you need a scan tool to bleed the brakes here's your answer. On some ABS systems you need the scan tool to turn the ABS pump on to get the air out of the ABS unit after changing the unit or anything before it (i.e. the master cylinder). However, if you only changed the brake calipers or wheel cylinders or brake hose or line after the ABS unit you don't need a scan tool. ASE Master Tech 14 yrs in field
Q: what parts are needed to replace catalytic converter on hyundai santa fe 2002?
A: Not sure what you mean... parts? You need a new catalytic converter and maybe some clamps. But then why would a 2002 car need a new catalytic converter?
Q: hyundai santa fe 2002 rear wheel bearings?
I believe the rear wheel bearing(s) assembly on my 2wd sante fe are on the way out. How difficult is this job and what specialty tools are needed to perform this? From what I am getting from the dealer and parts stores it's sold as a unit, not individual wheel bearing and races like my other vehicles.
Thanks!!
Ok I am a little confused on the axle removal part...it's a 2wd and fwd...so there really isn't a real axle in the rear...just a spindle as far as I can tell
A: they will not come as a assembly. they come as a individual bearing and you will need a press of some sort to get the bearing out and too put it back in.
Q: 2002 hyundai santa fe gls?
A: What's the question? We've got one answer saying buy a Honda and one answer talking about normal engine maintenance. Who wants to chime in and say buy an America V8 and stop supporting Kim Jong IL?
So, go ahead and buy the Santa Fe, they've been very popular since Hyundai introduced them 5 or so years ago.
