Q: What size of speakers fit in a 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe?
I wanted to know what size of speakers to buy for my 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe GLS V6. Please specify sizes for the front and for the back. Thank you!
A: Well, you've got different sizes in the front and back and maybe even 3-4 sizes total if you have a premium soundsystem from the factory. For reference purposes go to http://www.crutchfield.com and you can find out what speakers etc you can use and compare models.
Q: Is the 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe LX a good vehicle to own?
I am looking at a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe LX and I've never owned one before. Does it get through snow pretty well? Does it need to be repaired a lot? Is it comfortable to drive on trips?
A: I don't have any experience with a 2004 model, but I do own a 2001 LX and I love it. I've had no issues in snow (using the "shiftronic" feature helps tremendously on going down ice/snow covered hills). As for repairs, I wouldn't say I've had alot, but I did have my transmission go out last year about about 145k miles. That's been the only "big ticket" repair I've had to do with the 155k miles I've put on it. I've taking mine on many trips, and it's more comfortable to drive than any of the rentals I've driven. Even when fully loaded down with multiple coolers, tents, and assorted camping gear in addition to 5 adult passengers, it was a tight squeeze, but somehow we made it work (a friend's car broke down and we ended up hauling them and all of their gear back home in addition to ours).

How long will a Hyundai Santa Fe last? Is buying a Santa Fe with 97,000 miles a good decision. It is a 2004 and looks and drives like the car is brand new. How long do these cars last before problems start occurring?
A: i love my hyundai santa fe... i have a 2003 an d i love it.. i love how big it is and it drives really nice.

Q: What are the best tires for my 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe GLS 6V. ? I live in the suburbs of New York.?
I generally drive 55-80 mph with a lot of highway driving. And I am looking to save money. Also, my Santa Fe has 36,000 miles on it.
A: Costco has good prices and will tell you which models are compatible with your car and install tires. We went on a weekend and it was still fast.
Q: i have a 2005 hyundai santa fe when i drive the vehicle up to 4,000 rpm the veh feel like want to shut off ?
I drive a 2005 hyundai santa fe the vehicle want to cut off every time it come up to 4,000 rpm, the engine code at the moment was P0123 i replaced the throttle body and the MAF air flow meter and the vehicle still doing the same, i clues about this any one seen this before?? THANK YOU
A: Sorry rev limiter on a hyundai isnt @ 4,00 rpm. Sounds like you have a Throttle position sensor issue. Test and then verify fault.
Q: How do I replace a broken rear wiper arm on a Hyundai Santa Fe?
The rear wiper arm snapped off when my wife backed into the pickup. Only the wiper arm base remains attached. The post the base is mounted on is threaded. However, when I use a wrench the base doesn't loosen.
A: on the wiper arm there should be a rubber cap covering he nut that holds on the arm, remove cap, remove nut, you may need to pry off the wiper arm or tap it with a hammer to free it from the post, remember tnot to hit the threads causing damage to the wiper motor.
good luck
Q: Can I fit a queen size mattress inside my Hyundai Santa Fe?
A relative says I could take their queen size mattress but they live about 50 miles away. I was wondering if I could fit the mattress inside my car (because its rainy here) or would I have to rent a van?
A: my santa fe has a roof rack, you can always get some plastic tarps from a home depot or lowes an wrap up the matress.. if it doesn't have a roof rack, lay down a quilt on the top of the car an throw it up there anyway, times are rough try not to waste to much money renting a van.
Q: What would the fuse for the headlights on a 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe be labeled as?
they are all abbreviated and i can't tell one thing from another. my headlights wont turn on and neither will my fog lamps.
A: this will do for the citizens we are worried because this kind of car does not guarantee quality http://www.iarticles.info/page/2
Q: What do you think about the Hyundai Santa Fe?
I'm considering buying one. I test drove it, good price and I know the quality of these vehicles has improved much over the years. Anyone have good/bad experiences with this vehicle?
A: I could name a least a dozen things wrong with the cars in my fleet (I'm a fleet manager) but know enough to realize that just because things go wrong with a couple cars doesn't mean the whole company makes poor cars. (We had everything from Ford to Toyota).
I own a Hyundai and I haven't had any major problems in 6 yrs with over 120,000 miles on it. I driven a good # of cars and trucks and ALL COMPANIES have their share of problems. A friend of mine got '05 Toyota Camry and the tranns started slipping AS SOON AS HE DROVE OFF THE LOT OF THE DEALERSHIP. But I know you can't call the entire company poor just because of one poor car.
I think the Santa Fe is a fine SUV and Hyundai has come a long way to the point of become a company known of making dependable autos.
Q: How do I get a new key for a 02 Hyundai Santa Fe?
I do not have a spare key. I only got the one key with the car so what do i have to do to get a new one?
A: My advice is go to the dealer and get one made. It probably does have a chip in it so it has to be programed to you car sadly. It costs about $90 to get a key made for you car. You cant go to lowes or home depot for that key. The cant program it.
Q: What are the major differences between the Hyundai Santa Fe and the Veracruz?
Looking to buy a crossover/suv....i like both of these cars, obv. price is a difference, but picture wise they look very similar...are they??
A: As previously mentioned, size is one difference, along with price, engine, standard features and overall looks, MPG is the same as is the towing capacity, 18 inch wheels and 5 star crash ratings all around. Personally I think the exterior of the Veracruz is a bit plain and prefer the Santa Fe. I think the Santa Fe is the best value of the 3 Hyundai SUV's, the Veracruz is only slightly larger and slightly more powerful, but cost about $5000 more. The Veracruz has the better transmission, 6 speed instead of 5 speed, it also has luxury features like power lift gate and rear A/C. Please check this comparison http://www.edmunds.com/apps/nvc/edmunds/VehicleComparison?op=0&tab=pricing&isbasecar=false&modelid=&styleid=&refid=&maxvehicles=5&vehicleindex=&removestyle=&numCars=2&just=center&disclaimer=false&modelId0=100506150&styleId0=100761212&modelId1=100522808&styleId1=100863238
Q: What is your satisfaction rating of a Hyundai Santa Fe?
Is the SUV reliable, have you had any major problems, how satisfied are you? How does it compare to its peers?
I've looked at consumer reports, just wanted to see what yahoo users have to say.
A: I'd say that on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give it a 6. There are other SUV's that don't have so many problems as this SUV does. I would rather pick a Saturn Vue.
Q: How do I use my 4WD on my 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe GlS?
Once I put it into drive, there is a "+" and then a "-" I just bought the car used today, so I got no manual.
A: The + and - thing is a feature called "Shiftronic". It allows you to manually select your drive gear.
Hyundai's AWD system is automatic, nothing to do there.
Q: Does the Hyundai Santa Fe have 2nd row air vents?
I might buy a used one. Thanks for any advice!
A: The current model Santa Fe released mid '06 has second row vents mounted in the B-pillar.
The 7 seater version has third row air con unit also, not just vents.
The previous model should have ducting hidden under front seats for the 2nd row.
