Q: Im crazy over the new 2009 Hyundai Genesis that recently came out. I am considering purchasing it or financing?
it. The current price tag fully loaded is about $38,000 and with todays bad economy and the car dealerships taking such a hit, i was wondering realisticly how much i can walk with this car if i went into a Hyundai dealership in my area?
A: Actually the MSRP on the fully loaded V8 Genesis is $41,250, so if you could get the car for $35,500 that would definitely be a great deal since it is listed as a 2009 and there was no 2008 model. Now, maybe you were considering the V6 to save a couple grand, but I think you should test drive it versus the V8, considering fuel economy is nearly identical and the V8 has some features(ultra premium leather, wood grain wheel, illuminated door sills, chrome moldings) not on the V6, I'd definitely get the best model they had. There are no special offers on the Genesis, so good luck with the dealer, you might want to email their sales department to get the best price.

A: Because it's price and performance, seating, and the fact that it's RWD (not front like the Eclipse, old Tiburon and Celica's, etc) will make it a direct competitor for the Mustang, Camaro, and Challenger.
Where it's from doesn't matter and styling is subjective (I like the looks of it in pictures anyway), it's clearly a competitor to the above domestics. It will be very interesting to see a comparison test soon.

Hi everyone~ The Hyundai Genesis is a popular topic lately...Um, Hyundai states that the all new Genesis is as big as a BMW 7-series, with the peformance of a BMW 5-series, and priced like BMW 3-series...Personally, I think it's a lot of b.s, because an ultimate luxury sedan from Hyundai? It's basically a poor-man's Rolls Royce. WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK?
A: Just read the reviews my man, they all say that the Genesis is best new car since Acura/Lexus 1st appeared on the scene 20 years ago. Motor Trend basically said the Genesis was just as good as the BMW 550i and Mercedes E500 in a comparison test, the only difference being that the Hyundai was $15-20K less then those 2 cars with more features!!! The statistic's prove the numbers Hyundai claims, so what's your arguement? Everyone knows that BMW and Mercedes are overpriced cars with poor gas mileage and very high maintenance costs. I had the opportunity to test drive back to back the Genesis vs a CTS and E320 and even though the Hyundai had the lowest price it was nicer then both those cars, drove better and had all the luxury features you expect from an ultra luxury car.

A: current plans are to put the Hyundai name on the new RWD premium sedan that will sell for around $30,000. “We see that there’s another luxury tier and we’re definitely studying that channel intently,” says product spokesperson Miles Johnson. “But at this point we feel the Genesis is close enough in price to a few of our other models — the Azera and Santa Fe, for example — that it is suited for the Hyundai name.”

Q: hyundai genesis or hummer h3t?
im 18 and i want a car for about 40grand or less and have narrowed my options to the 2 that i like. should i get extremely off-road capable Hummer h3t, or the beautiful and luxurious Hyundai genesis? Its wierd since they are the two extremes of cars, but i'm exactly 50/50. please help by telling me which car and reasons why i should get that along with why i shouldn't get the other one.
A: will you off road if so than hummer is for you. if you just want something to drive to the mall and what not then get the hyundai. do you live where you get snow if so the hummer will be better. personally i like the hummer bettter i have yet to see one.(you would be one of the few people that have one). i see those hyundai all over. plus with hummer you have option to haul more stuff.

A: Actually, Mercedes Benz is the poor man's Rolls Royce, Hyundai is the everyman's Lexus/BMW.
Yes, its true that the Genesis is a large car and has a better engine and driving then the BMW 550i with a price that tops out at only $42,000 with a 375 HP V8 with the same fuel economy as a Mercedes C230. Sure you could buy a more expensive inferior European car, but why? Just check out any of the online or print reviews from Motor Trend, edmunds.com, Genesis is a revolution.

Q: I've placed an order for the Hyundai Genesis when it comes out in Aus but not sure what to get coupe or sedan
A: Like the others said, if its just you and a girlfriend then the coupe is the best option, but if you need to carry 4-5 people then you'd want the sedan. The one good thing about buying the coupe is that it will keep its value longer then the sedan. That seems to be true in USA at least, G35 sedan's depreciate much faster then the coupe's. I think your going to love which ever Genesis car you end up getting, I'm jealous!_!

I am really wanting the Hyundai Genesis, but it is rear wheel drive.
I live in a place where it snows in the winter and is REALLY nice in the summer. Is hyundai going to make the Genesis All wheel drive in the future?
A: They probably will, but its going to take at least 4 or 5 years when the next generation comes out. You should probably look at another car, dont wait for the awd model to come out for that long. Look at an Acura RL, it has it standard. Or a infiniti G35X.
