These models are called 2009 models (Hyundai Elantra Touring) and the Honda Insight but they aren't for sale yet. When will these models be available to look at in the dealers? Thanks for the insight (no pun intended). Do you know what the price ranges may be?

A: Not sure about the Honda Insight but this will give you more info about the Elantra Touring http://www.hyundainews.com/Media_Kits/2009_Models/Elantra_Touring/Pricing.asp Looks like it will be available in a few months.

Q: How to replace the oxygen sensor on a 2003 Hyundai Elantra GT?
I have a Hyundai Elantra and I would like to know if anyone knows a website or any information on how to replace the O2 sensor. I wouldn't want to take it to a garage because it would be way too expensive. The part itself is expensive so I wouldn't want to spend anymore. Any ideas?

A: peice of cake. once you have the part you know what it looks like, right? now open the hood and look down behind the radiator , on the engine , it's right in that area and easy to replace your self. save your receipt, file it with your records. your car is still under warrentee and it's important with hyundai that you have 100% records of repairs and maintenance as to not void your warrentee.

Q: Why would a check engine light come on with a 2006 hyundai elantra?
I bought a used 2006 hyundai elantra and realized it didn't come with an owners manual. Does anyone have any insights onto why the check engine light would come on with this particular model and year?

A: I bought a used Elantra in West Virginia last year and saved a lot. I haven't had any problems yet. I'll never buy a new car. http://www.findusedcardealer.com

Q: What is the towing capacity for a Hyundai Elantra?
What is the towing capacity for a Hyundai Elantra?

A: I had to change my response when I seen this- Hyundai Elantra: No, this is not a typo. The Elantra offers 3,086 pounds of towing capacity when trailer brakes are used (without the brakes, it tops out at 1,000 pounds). That's not much by truck standards, but for a budget-priced compact sedan, it's exceptional. Note that this is 1,000 pounds more than full-size sedans like the Cadillac DeVille and Mercury Grand Marquis are rated to carry. Here is the article from Edmunds.com and it is listed under the top 10 vehicles for towing(trucks included). http://www.edmunds.com/reviews/list/top10/102426/article.html

Q: Are the transmission from a 98 Hyundai Elantra and the 99 Hyundai Elantra wagon the same transmission?
My Transmission in my 99 Hyundai Elantra wagon is not working and I found a guy who has a 98 Hyundai Elantra who will sell me his for a good price if it fits my car. I was just wondering if the transmission is the same for the different year Elantras Thanks very much!!

A: should be the same, all the elantras are 2 liter 4 cyl and as long as the body looks the same on the car most likely the trans is the same. try to look for a code on your trans and have him look on his to see if it has the same model number to make sure. good luck

Q: How Much are the Taxes of Hyundai Elantra?
How much will I be paying for the title taxes and everything for a Hyundai Elantra 2002 In the state of Texas?

A: 8.25%

Q: Why is my 2004 Hyundai Elantra sputtering?
I own a 2004 Hyundai Elantra with about 73,000 miles on it. I have the oil changed every 3k - 5k miles and I just had all the fluids changed. Just today it started sputtering occasionally. The check engine light is not on and it has never completely died while its sputtering. What could be wrong?

A: ERICA You have a spark plug thats just about ready to stop working. this is a $ .89 cent problem. They probably not been changed in a long time, and though Hyundai's give great gas mileage, yours should be a little less. That kinda jerking feeling is the plug trying to keep working, if it had stopped working it would run ruff all the time. Go to a auto parts store and get a set of "Auto-Light" spark plugs for that car. $5 (the ones in a orange box) even Wall Mart sell them, they have proved to give longer service. Then grab a guy with a spark plug wrench, and ask him to change them for you.....should take about 15 minutes. This is a usual thing, and your car is just fine....but it your cars birthday....and it gonna get some new plugs.

A: the elantra is a safer car

Q: do the 2001 hyundai elantra and tibiron have the same engine?
i have a hyundai elantra and want to know if the interchangeable because i want ot get a little prefomace under the hood

A: Same engine also same HP and torque specs you want a little more performance out of your car,try replacing the throttle body, and opening up the exhaust system to get more free flow but not to much otherwise you will decrease that precious back pressure.

Q: does a hyundai elantra engine fits in a hyundai accent car?
i would like to find out if the hyundai elantra engine fits in a hyundai accent and also if this upgrade will need any additional mods. also if there is any perfomance exhaust system for the accent available.

A: I guess you could do it, you may need to exchange the transmission too though. At any rate, its not worth the effort as theirs not much upgrade from the Accent to Elantra engine. You are better off buying a better car instead of wasting alot of money on swapping engines and performance parts on a bargain bin commuter. If you need more details, call a mechanic and see what he thinks and how much it would cost. Dude, just buy a Mazdaspeed 3 263HP 2 litter turbo for about $23K new, can't beat it.

Q: Where is the OBDII port on my Hyundai Elantra GT 2001?
I bought a tool for reading OBD II code, but cannot find the port on my Hyundai Elantra GT 2001.

A: The OBD II socket is located under the drivers side dash, above the feet. It is excess able with out removing any panels for us Tech`s to faster read any codes in the ECU. If you would like to better understand what these codes mean then please click here. http://www.OBD-codes.com/trouble_codes/ I hope this will help you some. Good Luck!

Q: My blackberry curve sets off my alarm on my Hyundai Elantra?
I have never had this problem before but ever since I got this Blackberry Curve cell phone my Car alarm on my Hyundai Elantra just randomly goes off. My 2008 Mustang alarm never goes off but my 2005 Elantra alarm trips sporadically... I determined this because when I was at my moms house and I was text messaging the light on her home portable phone would blink... Has anyone ever heard of this problem before? The Alarm was factory installed

A: believe it or not, it used to be quite common when cars with remotes first started getting popular. it happens to people with garage door openers too. i used to live under a certain flight path for one of the airlines and our garage door used to open whenever they'd fly over our house. it has to do with the coding of the opener...in this case, the coding of your alarm. you can get it changed. was it a stock alarm? or did you install it afterwards? either way, you can take it back to wherever it was installed and have the code switched. its pretty simple. i'm not sure which alarm you have, otherwise i could tell you how to do it yourself. g'luck with it.

Q: 2001 Hyundai Elantra power lock not work?
In our 2001 Hyundai Elantra the power door locks dont work anymore and we have to lock them ourselves. Is there a way I can fix it myself or how much does it cost to fix?

A: it depends on how much you know about cars... do you know what a fuse box is or where its at??? it might just be a blown fuse you can check for that your self just read the owners manual it will point you in the right direction if its the power door lock motor you may need a basic mechanic not no super huge shop just stop by a small mechanic shop they might be able to fix it in 20 minutes for about 40 bucks would be the most i would pay but check the fuse first

Q: i want to buy a hyundai elantra that i found for a good price?
but a few people have been telling me its a bad idea because its an japenses car. They say parts for the vehicle will be outrages because i live in the US. Is this true?? some people giv e me input on this 99 hyundai elantra i want to buy....

A: Not true, most azn cars are built for reliability and good MPG. Parts for the vehicle will be no more than what a domestic vehicle part costs. The only that that would make it more expensive is if it costs more to start off with, IE a BMW M3 engine is going to cost more than Cavalier engine, etc, get my point? Don't listen to what everyone tells you, everyone has their own opinion on what cars they like. It's up to you, you will be the one who is driving it for the next however many years. :)
