Q: 2005 Hyundai Accent problems?
My car has a hard time accelerating, it starts to stutter and buck during acceleration, it has a manual transmission by the way. Tonight the Check Engine light started flashing as my car was stuttering horribly. Can someone help me?

A: You sound like your car has devoloped a misfire! The light came on because the computer is setting a code for it. If you have it scanned you will see an "0300" code P0301 is cyl 1 miss P0302 is cyl 2 and so on. If the code is P0300 then its a random miss. Have you ever had it tuned up, fuel injection cleaned or replaced the fuel filter? Your car is now almost 4 years old (assuming it was put in service after 06/2004 so its overdue for fuel cleaning and filter. Its about due for a tune up. Unless you have more than 70k miles in that case its overdue!

Q: DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE THE STOP LIGHT SWITCH OR BRAKE LINE SWITCH IS ON A 2005 HYUNDAI ACCENT FOR REPAIR?

A: If you get down on the driver side floor and look in behind the brake pedal arm you will find the switch. it is a small (2 inch) box with a white plunger. I believe it mounts to the firewall.

Q: Towing with my 2005 Hyundai Accent?
Ok so we are moving to another province and are getting rid of our furniture so all we have is boxes and we need 3 seats ( for our baby ) so the smallest truck we can get to seat us all is a 14 foot and that's simply WAY to big and costly. I want to pull a small trailer behind my small car. I looked on UHauls website and their system says my car is a recommended setup. So I phoned around for pricing (getting a hitch and trailer is cheaper then the truck rental) and Canadian tire and local company said they could do... Lastly I phoned Hyundai and they said they don't do any kind of towing on the hyundai accent. Simply put would anyone recommend towing a small trailer on my FWD Auto 05 Hyundai Accent? Thanks.

A: I would not recommend pulling any trailer with any front wheel drive car. I know some do but they are taking a risk of damage to the front drive and for sure if they do pull one it should be a small trailer.

Q: 2005 Hyundai Accent Wiring help?
I dont know the color destinations i need help figuring out which wire is what...this is a factory cassette in the car atm...and i am trying to install a cd player

Q: which bank offers the lowest interest for a 2005 hyundai accent?

A: Right, it isn't based on the car, but the amount of money being financed and the persons credit. If your employer offers access to a credit union, I would check there first since they will have lower interest rates (APR's) then regular banks. I know there is Bankrate.com (http://www.bankrate.com) that has auto Loan Rates for regular banks listed. Hope that helps!!!

Q: who has a 2005 hyundai accent? Do you like it? No biased answers please!?

A: my daughter owns an 2004 accent (not a 05). It has 74,000 abused miles on it and it runs excellant. It has been in 3 accidents (2 were not her fault) it get excellant gas mileage and gets her to where she wants to go. the car does well in accidents (knock on wood) no injuries for the amount of damage it gets. we own a 05 elantra with almost 60,000 miles. we have no complaints about the service we have received at the hyundai dealer in emmaus pa. they are exceptional. they have no problem doing warranty work. our first hyundai was a 1986 excel gls that went over 200,000 miles but was totaled by a red-light runner.

Q: What is the top speed for the 2005 Hyundai Accent hatchback?
One more thing... Is it safe to be driving for 3 or more hours on the highway going an average of 85 mph? My dad was scaring me and telling me that the car isn't designed to go that fast, and that I cant go past 75 mph, which is obviously bogus. i am going to college soon, and I am going to have to drive 400 miles to see my girlfriend at fsu, is my '05 Hundai accent made to go that far, that fast?? 85 mph? what's the safe speed?

A: Dad is usually right (as you'll recognize more and more as you get older :-) He would never steer you wrong, just trying to keep you safe and responsible. They tell you things like this so you will be prepared when you don't listen and the engine blows because you failed to notice the temperature gauge or oil pressure gauge. It is never safe to disregard the posted speed limits. They are there for your safety as well as the safety of others. Just remember that it is a simple 4-cylinder. And while the speedometer goes to 130, it isn't recommended - it's not a sports car, it's a compact. The risk of rollover is greatly increased if you lose control at highway speeds. While they don't 'design' cars around speed limits, it's never a good idea to test the limits. 400 miles translates to roughly 6+ hours at 65 mph. At 85 you'll only gain approx 1 hour. Read your owner's manual. If you don't have one, get one. Much needed info in there, your dad might even splurge for it. Enough speech, you really want the technical stuff. Your vehicle is probably equipped with 13 inch tires. Not only will you feel everything in the road at 85, your gas mileage will be extremely poor. You may not be thinking of it from this standpoint, but gas isn't getting cheaper and cars don't fix themselves. High speed travel consumes 1.5 times more fuel than normal driving. Your vehicle will survive as long as you take care of it. For higher speed motoring, adjust the tire inflation to the highest recommendation on the tire itself. Low tire pressure will result in overheating and possible failure of the tires. Check your engine oil while the vehicle is cold and your coolant level. Add as needed. Check belts for tension and wear and make sure all your lights work. Remember also that with the miles, comes the maintenance. You will probably go through tires every 25,000, oil changes every 2 months, depending how often you drive to see her. It'll be approx 800 miles round trip. You will need to change the oil after 2 round trips. Rotate the tires every other oil change or every 6000 miles. Be safe!

Q: Does the Hyundai Accent AM/FM/CD/MP3 player have preamp outputs?
Anyone know if the 2005 Hyundai Accent stereo has preamp outputs in the back? I'm too lazy to pull it out.

A: More then likely it doesnt but the best thing to do is go to your local Best Buy and pick up a RCA convertor there are like 20 to 25 dollars and you just hook it into your speaker connections and hook up your RCA cables to it, it is very easy.
